Evaluation: My project was a success, I accomplished everything I set out to do. My website works fine and everything that it was supposed to do happens. What I liked best about the project was that the it was really easy to insert pictures in. I didn't have to open it a special way. I could just drag it on the place I wanted it to go. What I found frustrating was my tabs didn't come out to be the same size. Even if I copied and pasted. To improve the project in the future I could have put all the design cycles in that I did for the whole project but I didn't have enough space and If i made more webpages I didn't think I could finish it.

Who are designing for (who will see/use/buy the product)

I am designing this for students who are in collage or above. They will be the ones who interested in going back to memory lane

Objective - What the successful design must do (could also indicate how well the solution is expected to work or under what conditions it will work)

The design must have a fantasy sort of felling to it because the things you did so far in the past dosen't feel like the current you would do. It will also need to bring back memories.  It will work if the person is older because the older you are the farther the memory seems to be.

We may have an yearbook but thats for all the student and cover major events our personal activities can be forgotten, " I will design and make a collage of photograph/pictures of all the things I have done in all my life. The design will appeal mostly to teenage girls and middle age parents, because they have something to show it to their own kids, and they will be more likely to keep and look at it.
I am doing a collage so I need to find tutorials on how to edit photograph and how to to make recent photograph have an old feeling to it since you are going to be about the past. I also need to learn how to blend different pictures with one another.

Creation

I made the center picture a teenager girl because our teenage years are consider best time of our life and I wanted it to be the center focus. All the rest are in black and white to draw attention to the middle. The middle has a sort of a fantasy feeling to it since to the viewers it would have have so long ago when they looked like that. All the rest have important factors of the persons life.


Evaluation: Overall I like the the whole project and ot was probally the best project of the year. I would liked to have more time with this because the whole thing was sort of rushed. I would like to have more time to look at the diffrent ways I could change a  black and white pictures. IF I could change one thing it wold be the pitch black background an made it intersting but I did not have time for that

The Website Project

Investigation: I am going to create a website. I am still debating what the website should be about. My choices are a book/movie, clothing, or maybe about the manga I have read so far in my life. I am still undecided. I need to find tutorials that can help me create a basic website. After that I need to decide what type of information I want to put in my website. How many pages are going to be in my website. Where I will get my information. I am still browsing through websites in google to give me an idea how I want the format of the websites. I have an rough idea on what the color should be. My website will have both bright/dark and   rainbow colors. I want a variety of colors in my website. The more I research the more I want to do the a book which a movie has been based on. It will have to be popular and released in the year 2000+.

Plan:
For the planning I have decided to base my website on flash based on the Hunger Games. Its popular and has a very recent movie released. I want to add links and pictures and videos on my flash website.  I had a basic idea on what i wanted my website to look like, but just to be more confident in my choice a looked at the simplest websites that beginners have created. I am gong to have text, pictures, music/viedo, information about the author and some type of background color. I haven't deciede on the color theme on if I should use the same color through out the different pages or use different colors. This is what I am going to have my website look like.

Create: I have to search a lot for types of tutorials that can help me download videos off of youtube and how to put them in flash. A lot of tutorials for flash were for the old versions so I played around for about a week to finally get it the way I wanted this is what it looks like. I also looked over different tutorials on how to make my buttons a bit more unique and different but at the end I decided to keep it simple and just have the words change color when the mouse rolls over to it. I have no idea how I got the background for my characters to have the hunger game background but I liked it so kept it. Since my website is about the fist book I include a trailer of the book at the links if they wanted additional information. The videos took the longest but at the end it was worth all the time it took me to get it to work.

Evulation:
Overall I liked how my project turned out. The major problem i had was that the scroll wouldnt work in my website. I had done the tutorials and it worked perfectly but I was unable to apply that to my website. Another thing that took me a week and a half to do trial and error was trying to put a video in flash, and were to download my video from since most of the downloading websites I knew was blocked off because of district policy. What I LIKED best about this project was the fact that it was easier to manipulate the text to get it the way I wanted it to look like. I also like that I cold add pictures directly in my website without opening it a special or complicated way.

Do you feel this six weeks was successful for you? Why or why not? How did your work ethic affect this?
It was pretty successful because i like the works we were doing what i was worried about is that we woudnt finish on time. My work ethnics are pretty well considering I finished everything I was supposed to do.
Of the two major projects we worked on this six weeks (typography & game design), which did you prefer? Tell me about your thoughts on why.
Game design because it was with partners and helped that 2 people did the same thing and collaborated to make the work less for each one of us. I like how we used images and edited images in photoshop a lot more than that of typography project.


For both of these projects, you were able to choose which software you wanted to use. What did you work most in? Why did you choose this software? Was this choice based on what you preferred to use, or what you thought would work best on this project? After completing it, do you think you'd use the same software if you could go back and begin it again?
I worked in photoshop the most. I choose this software because I am most familar with it and I know how to navigate my self in it. Its also a lot easier to work with in my opnion.  I think i choose this sofware knowing that it was what i preferred. I would most likely to use this software again if we redid the project.

What is something you've done or learned this six weeks that you think you may be able to use beyond this class and how?

I learned new techinques on photoshop like the patch tool to help me blend the picture in with its surronding. I have used it in some of the pictures of i have taken of myself. I cleared the darkcircles around my eyes and hide the scar.

Our official theme was supposed to be heaven and hell but it could be offend the religious group or be too suggestive so we changed the theme to starz.
RULES for the board game
The player would roll the dice and whatever number it landed on is the # of blocks the player would        movie his piece
The place on the board will tell them what card to pick up

Create

My 2 category for my cards is based on heaven and hell. For the heaven I have a gate because your are entering happiness, but for hell you are being burned and punished by the grim reaper which is the guardian/king of hell. For the cars I have taken out their backgrounds and made mild changes. For the first red car I made the color pop a bit more since its a new model and all the now model colors are bright colour. For the next car which is yellow car I made it grainy because its an old car and the grainy texture gives it a old style. For my next car I changed the colors and used dark pink and bright red I added the dots to represent individuality and that no two cars are the same. For the motorbike I removed the text on them and painted over some of the color to make sure it didn't look all like my original picture because the original looks like s model of a race bike and i just wanted a bike. For my last car the pink race car it was the hardest and much more time consumming. I had to move all the text and symbols and some colors and I touched up on the colors and added my own text(H&H) which is our board game title. The new cards I made I had to rmove text from the original picture and change the color to match the mock up board game.

We want the board game we have also found couple of sites where we can create the game pieces and the games. The design and the rules are some elements/requirements of creating a good game that I feel strongly about because it has to capture you attention and be unique with the rules and how the player can win. 


We dont really have a clear picture what our board came will look like or what topic to make the main point of the game. There so many things in a multimedia we learned.

Last thoughts on Typography:

How do you feel about typography? What form of typography most interests you? Do you feel that all forms of writing are typography? What about Graffiti?Even if illegal, do you feel its a form of typography?



I like typography and the diffient things I could do with words and letters. I like the Sheriff type fonts because to me they make the words look like something professional. I do think that any form of writing can be a type of typography because Its your own unique design. I think Graffiti is a type of typography because its just words or picture on the wall despite the fact its considered to be vandalism.
